The Fighting Cholitas from La Paz
Luckily, we got the chance to see the Fighting Cholitas in action in La Paz!
The location where this spectacle takes place is in El Alto, the poorer part of La Paz some 500m above the city center. It is a real big party, outside of the fighting hall as well as inside. There are traditional bands playing, table-soccer tables, food-stalls and many crazy fans of course.
The fighting itself is highly entertaining! We had such a good time seeing the tough Cholitas roughing it up out there in the ring.
Although filming was not officially allowed, we took some inofficial images and made a short movie. Our favourites were the heavyweight Cholitas but see for yourself:

The next couple of days we made our way to the famous Titikaka Lake which was beautiful. We visited the Uro Indians on their floating islands, Isabel discovered her affection for traditional Uro clothing and we had a relaxing time after hectic La Paz.
